This web-based platform serves as a central point of contact for consumers who have purchased goods or services online and subsequently experience problems with this purchase. It simplifies the out-of-court settlement of disputes arising from contractual obligations in online sales contracts. The ODR platform transfers disputes to so-called alternative dispute resolution bodies (ADR bodies), which are listed in the national lists of ADR bodies and which meet the quality requirements of the ODR Regulation.
